The Carolina Harm Reduction Union is dedicated to preventing opioid overdoses and promoting safety on college campuses. Our goal is to educate and equip other students with the knowledge and tools necessary to prevent overdoses and other harms caused by substance use.
Education is a core facet of our work. We'll happily provide free substance use educational presentations and overdose prevention workshops to any group – on or off campus.
We are the single largest distributor of naloxone to any one college campus. During the fall 2023 semester, we provided over 1,000 naloxone kits directly to students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
